Parking: There are free public parking lots located around the back of our building and behind The People's Building to the north of us.

Moksa Brewing - BA Stout w/ Coffee and Vanilla
Imperial Stout aged in Knob Creek 10yr, Henry McKenna 10yr, and Old Fitzgerald 19yr barrels w/ Coffee, Cacao Nibs & Vanilla Beans. The Moksa Barrel House is turning two, and to celebrate we've put together a barrel aged stout featuring the Barrel House’s signature coffee blend from Mostra Coffee, alongside Ghanian cacao nibs and Brazilian and Australian vanilla beans. For this blend we started with a blend of three bourbon barrels. Knob Creek 10yr and Henry McKenna 10yr barrels bring a warming, spirit-forward kick with notes of vanilla and subtle dark fruit. For the third barrel we selected an Old Fitzgerald 19yr barrel, which brings tons of deep woody spice and a hint of smokiness to the blend. Rich, nutty coffee and dark chocolate dominate the aroma. A huge vanilla presence rounding out the mid palate, but the rest of the story is all about the bourbon, transitioning into a long warming finish.

Blend 03 (12/2022) This is a blend of Single—and double-barrel-aged Imperial Stouts aged in George T. Stagg bourbon, 10-year rhum agricole, and ex-bourbon vanilla extract barrels. After 30 months, we blended the barrels and conditioned on coconut and macadamia nuts.

BA Stout w/ Chili, Cacao & Vanilla (2022)
In the fall of 2019, we were fortunate to host our friends at J Wakefield Brewing for an Imperial Stout brew. Most of that batch was blended with a small amount of another base stout aged in Mezcal Reposado barrels. We packaged it as Humo y Espejos & Humo y Espejos with Fuego. Fuego went on to win a gold medal in the chili beer category at the Great American Beer Festival in 2021. Luckily, we had two oak barrels of this batch reserved for further aging. We have something extraordinary after an additional 12 months in oak (32 months total). These were the last Woodford Reserve Chocolate Malted Rye barrels in our collection, and we wanted to do something unique with them as a follow-up to Humo y Espejos with Fuego. We settled on a blend of guajillo and two different types of chipotle peppers, some beautiful Filipino cacao nibs, and a unique hybrid varietal of Mayan vanilla beans. The chilis were wood-fired in-house over a flame of bourbon barrel staves. These flavors combine seamlessly as raspberry chipotle jam, Mexican drinking chocolate, and ganache.
