Job Overview
The Congress Park Hospitality Lead plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring smooth taproom operations during assigned shifts. This position champions quality, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere while fostering teamwork and a positive environment among staff. The Hospitality Lead works closely with other departments to coordinate daily operations, support events, and uphold Cerebral Brewing’s commitment to excellence in hospitality. Additionally, this role collaborates with the Director of Hospitality to align taproom practices with broader company goals and values.
Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership:
- Support taproom operations during high-volume shifts by ensuring exceptional guest experiences and addressing customer needs, including making on-the-spot service decisions such as discounts or comps when appropriate.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment by modeling professionalism, hospitality, and composure during busy periods.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to newer staff to strengthen service skills and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Director of Hospitality to ensure taproom operations uphold company standards and hospitality goals.
- Maintain accurate shift records and report key observations related to service quality, safety, and staff feedback.
Customer Service and Hospitality:
- Ensure a welcoming and inclusive experience for all guests, particularly during high-traffic periods.
- Execute and reinforce training programs developed by the Director of Hospitality, ensuring staff compliance with standards for customer interaction and order management.
- Address guest feedback and concerns promptly and professionally to maintain a positive taproom experience.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the taproom, supporting established cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures.
- Stay informed about industry trends and current beer styles to enhance guest engagement and product knowledge.
Operational Excellence (i.e., Quality Control, Safety, Compliance and Inventory Management):
- Ensure all beer and food products meet Cerebral Brewing’s quality standards, especially during peak service times.
- Conduct quality and safety checks, taking corrective actions within established guidelines to maintain consistency and compliance.
- Uphold health, food safety, and alcohol service regulations, reporting or addressing any hazards promptly.
- Monitor and document inventory levels for draft and packaged beer, food, and merchandise, communicating needs to Management in advance of high-traffic periods.
Event Management:
- Work with the Marketing and Events Manager to schedule and plan taproom events.
- Execute brewery events, tastings, special promotions, and food-related events in collaboration with the Director of Hospitality.
- Oversee food truck scheduling and updates to the food truck calendar.
- Partner with outside vendors to execute collaborative events, partnerships, and fundraisers.
Continuous Improvement & Alignment with Leadership
- Collaborate with the Director of Hospitality to align Congress Park taproom operations with broader company objectives and initiatives.
- Implement strategic directives that enhance efficiency, hospitality standards, and team performance.
- Provide Management with input on opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Participate in regular meetings to share feedback, review performance, and discuss continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with industry best practices to contribute to the evolution of Cerebral Brewing’s guest experience and service quality.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume hospitality and food service environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience working in high-volume service environments, particularly involving food and beverage operations.
- Strong leadership and administrative skills
- In-depth knowledge of taproom operations, quality control standards, and customer service best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Proficient in Toast, brewery inventory management software and/or exposure to food service systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and events.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Good sensory skills (sight, smell, taste) for quality control and food safety compliance.
Compensation
- $15.79/hour plus tips, with tips historically averaging between $30 and $50 per hour
- $21.00/hour for non-tipped administrative duties

Job Overview:
The Taproom Operations Manager oversees taproom inventory, purchasing, and performance analysis across all locations. This role enhances operational efficiency, ensures consistency, and supports revenue growth through data-driven insights. You will collaborate closely with the taproom teams to ensure alignment on staffing, inventory and event needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytically minded, and possesses strong spreadsheet and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Purchasing & Inventory Management:
- Manage all taproom inventory at all locations, including: beer, merchandise, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages and essential taproom supplies
- Fulfill online and taproom merchandise orders, including picking, packing, and shipping
- Manage vendor relationships and process related invoices through Ramp
- Maintain accurate digital inventory across all platforms, including Toast, BarTrack, Untappd and Ekos
- Analysis & Forecasting:
- Monitor and adjust beer and merch ROS and pars; submit forecasts and recommendations
- Work with Marketing & Events Manager to assess event performance data to identify trends, missed opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Evaluate beer loss reports and work with taproom staff as needed to address issues and improve yields
- Resource & Facilities Oversight:
- Oversee all maintenance-related requests for all taprooms. Identify the most efficient solution – whether it can be managed by the team, delegated within the company, or outsourced as needed
- Schedule taproom employees in collaboration with Director of Hospitality – balancing preferred shifts, revenue per labor hour and anticipated demand
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in an administrative, operations, or logistics role, preferably within the hospitality or retail sector
- Advanced spreadsheet and critical thinking skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative problem-solver with a proactive, self-starting mindset
- Ability manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Toast, Ekos or similar inventory/point-of-sale platforms preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- $50,000 to $55,000 – adjusted based on experience and performance
- Up to 4% match for 401(k) contributions
