Job Overview
As a bartender at our Aurora Arts taproom, you will be responsible for ensuring that customers have an enjoyable experience. You will be expected to serve customers promptly, engage in conversation, be knowledgeable about our products and keep the bar area clean and well-stocked.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Customer service – Provide excellent customer service to all patrons, including greeting customers, making recommendations, engaging in friendly conversation, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who walks through the door
- Product knowledge – Maintain a strong understanding of our beers and other products, including flavor profiles, brewing processes, and ingredients, to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers
- Company ambassador – Represent our brand and Company values in all customer interactions. This includes creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all
- Conflict management – Handle difficult situations and attempt to de-escalate when possible
- Inventory – Monitor all inventory levels and restock fridge, change kegs and replace merchandise as needed
- Opening, mid-shift and closing duties – Follow all SOPs including, but not limited to, tasks such as setting up and breaking down the bar area, cleaning equipment, monitoring bathrooms, maintaining cleanliness and restocking supplies
- Order management – Accurately input orders into the point-of-sale system and, for cash transactions, receive cash from guests and make any change needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Abide by all State, Federal and Local requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Able to work at least two shifts on two days per week on Friday, Saturday or Sunday
Compensation & Benefits
- $15.79 / hr + tips

- Possibility for paid continuing education (i.e., TIPS certification)
