Delete Your Cerebral Account
How to permanently delete your Cerebral account and personal data — from inside the app, or by contacting us directly.
§ 1 — How to request deletion
In the Cerebral app (fastest): open Settings (or Profile → Privacy & Legal), tap Delete account, and confirm. Your account and personal data are removed immediately and permanently — this can’t be undone.
If you no longer have the app installed, or can’t sign in: email [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll confirm you own that address and process the deletion for you, typically within 30 days.
§ 2 — What is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
• Your profile and login — your email address and account identity.
• Your check-ins, tasting notes, ratings, and photos, including any posts on the public Field Readings feed.
• Your wantlist, saved preferences, and device / push-notification tokens.
§ 3 — What we retain, and why
If you have ever held a paid membership (Study Club or Endeavor) or completed a purchase or bottle pickup, we keep the underlying transaction and membership records — but we detach them from your deleted account so they no longer identify you. This covers membership history, purchase and pickup records, bottle allocation and cellar records, and referral codes.
We retain these business records only for as long as required to meet our accounting, tax, and legal obligations, after which they are deleted. They are never used to contact you or for marketing once your account is gone.
