This monster has been anxiously awaiting its awakening from the Underworld… 

After admiring their Underworld Barista Stouts for years, we were excited to collab with New Image Brewing to combine our respective techniques on the style. For Monsters of the Underworld, we merged our process with a unique grain bill used by New Image. When a limited amount of 13-Year Old Forester barrels became available, we knew this beer was deserving of such a vessel.

This surprisingly smooth behemoth is well balanced. Black malt and a touch of chocolate rye meet in the barrel to create hints of dried fruit and molasses. We’re reminded of the decadence of a cherry at the bottom of an Old Fashioned and the nostalgia of Hershey’s chocolate syrup.
