Over the years, we’ve found that Wheated Bourbon barrels have a unique way of coaxing out the deep, jammy fruit notes in Here Be Monsters, and this 11-year Old Fitzgerald cask was no exception. The extended aging allowed the rich caramelized sugars and oak-driven vanillin to fuse seamlessly with the beer’s bold malt profile, enhancing it’s dark fruit character while rounding out its structure with a smooth, almost honeyed warmth.
