When you come to our taproom on Monroe St., you’re taking a step into an architectural time capsule. The Galaxie Building has been a part of the Congress Park neighborhood since 1905 and its unique construction reflects a different time, a different way of thinking through problems and solutions. As an automotive shop, pillars would impede the movement of those of Model T’s around the room, so our abode’s novel, inventive suspension roof was born. See those lime green beams about the space? They ain’t for decorative purposes. As a celebration of our historical digs, we brewed Dark Galaxie as part of our original lineup back in 2015 and it has been a staple ever since.
