Brewer’s Notes: The sister release to Unverified Sighting starts from the same foundation, 35 months in Leopold Bros Bourbon that built the same refined base of oak complexity and baking spice, but takes a different path from there. Instead of BLiS Maple Syrup Bourbon, we finished this cask with 30 months in a Laird’s Apple Brandy barrel, layering in baked apple and warm spice notes that called for a different adjunct direction entirely. We landed on coconut, Congolese vanilla, dried apple and toffee.
