We got to pondering the big issues: what are the fundamental, non-negotiable elements in the beers we make? What defines it as one of our own when compared to another beer? If we treated our beer like the Ship of Theseus, if we replaced all its component parts, would it still be ours? What is truly essential to our identity? Who are we?! What’s real?! Is this a simulation?! But then we relaxed and remembered it’s just beer.
