1) WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GET INTO THE WORLD OF CRAFT BEER?
TBH it was a job where I got free beer. I’ve always enjoyed craft beer and breweries. When I was a kid and we lived near Lost Coast Brewery in Northern California which was founded by two women back in 1989!

2) HOW DID YOU MAKE YOUR WAY INTO THE CRAFT BEER INDUSTRY?
My first craft beer job was selling t-shirts and growlers at Stone Brewing. Like a lot of hospitality folks I started out my working life in cafes and realizing how similar brewing beer and coffee is immediately drew me in. I moved quickly into a roll there as a tour guide and have kept stumbling into new and amazing roles and spots ever since.

3) WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT CRAFT BEER?
I really enjoy the community within the industry that I have built. This fall marks 10 years working in beer for me and the folks I have met along the way are really the best part.

4) WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD BE DOING IF YOU HAD NOT STARTED WORKING IN BREWERIES?
Restaurants, bars, and all things hospitality was where I was always going to end up. After trying to leave twice and finding myself back I’ve basically accepted my fate. In college I always dreamed about dropping out and opening a diner where we would do breakfast and roast my own coffee in the mornings and brew and serve beer at night.

5) WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING WITH YOUR TIME OUTSIDE THE BREWERY?
Hanging out with my dog mostly. I also bake, wander outdoors, play video games, go on long road trips. I find that I am someone who is quite basic and I’m not mad about it.
